Frequently Asked Questions

General

Do I need Dynamics Dossier to use the SIVI Verzuim Connector?

Yes. The SIVI Verzuim Connector is an extension on top of Dynamics Dossier. Absence dossiers are created and managed in Dynamics Dossier; the connector reads that data and sends it to the occupational health service.

Which occupational health services are supported?

Any occupational health service that supports the SIVI Verzuimstandaard 2026 and provides an API endpoint. Contact your occupational health service to confirm compatibility and to receive the required connection details.

Is this app for employers or for occupational health services?

This app is for employers. It allows employers to report absences to their occupational health service from Business Central. Occupational health services (arbodiensten) that manage absence dossiers should use Dynamics Dossier.

Setup

Where do I find the API endpoint URL and connection number?

These are provided by your occupational health service when you set up the SIVI data exchange. If you do not have them, contact your occupational health service.

What does Test Mode do?

When Test Mode is enabled, export actions run through the full process — XML is built, the envelope is wrapped, and the export is logged — but the message is not sent to the API. Use this to verify your setup without risk of sending incorrect or incomplete data to the occupational health service.

Can I have different settings for different companies in Business Central?

Yes. The SIVI Export Setup is company-specific. Configure it separately for each company that needs to send SIVI messages.

Sending Data

Do I need to send employee data before absence reports?

Yes. The occupational health service must have the employee and employment details on record before it can process an absence report. Send the employee data first, then send absence reports.

What happens if an export fails?

The failure is recorded in the SIVI Export Log with an error description. Correct the underlying issue (see Common Errors) and use Retry Export to re-send.

Can I resend an absence report that was already sent successfully?

Yes. Open the SIVI Export Log, find the relevant entry, and use Retry Export. The occupational health service will process it as an update if the SIVI Processing Code is set to Change.

How do I notify the occupational health service that an employee has recovered?

Set the Ending Date on the absence dossier to the recovery date, change the SIVI Processing Code to Change, and send the updated absence report. See SIVI Absence Reporting for step-by-step instructions.
